Lovely flavoured lube

I was ever so kindly sent the Pornstar Martini Mocktail Lubricant by Lovehoney to test in exchange for an honest review. Thank you, Lovehoney! I’m not usually a fan of the taste of flavoured lubes, but this one is absolutely amazing! With a gorgeous fruity scent, this lube is a delight to your senses. You first taste the passion fruit and citrus flavours, and then have a vanilla aftertaste. I’ve had issues with flavoured lubes in the past tasting too chemically, which has put me off using them, but this is honestly perfect! The lube itself is long lasting (until you lick it off!), and as it is water based, is safe for silicone toys which is always a win. A little goes a long way, and the dispenser always. gives just the right amount of product! The bottle has a lovely silver coloured label with purple and orange spots, and looks luxury with the cloudy effect on the clear plastic bottle. It looks great next to the rest of my lubes and certainly grabs your attention in the right way. Overall, I completely recommend this lube if you’re looking for something flavoured to upgrade your oral sex, but also for solo play if this is something you’d be willing to try! It smells so lovely and tastes just as good!

A Cheeky Cocktail Flavoured Twist

I received this ‘Pornstar Martini Flavoured Lubricant’ off Lovehoney in return for an honest review. Thank you, LH! Firstly, I love the design of this bottle. I think it is very stylish and it looks very expensive. My favourite element of the design is the pump style top. It allows you to be able to control how much lubricant you want so much better than the other design, where you have to squeeze the bottle to release the lubricant from the top. On opening the product and smelling it, it smells just like it says on the bottle ‘Pornstar Martini.’ Honestly, it is a perfect match to the real thing! Making you want to have a bit of naughty fun and then also at the same time making you want to enjoy a nice cocktail or two! The perfect date night combination! The lubricant is very sweet smelling and it also tastes really nice so for anyone who has a sweet tooth and a lover of this martini flavour, you’re in for a treat! The lubricant isn’t sticky or too runny either and a little goes a long way, which is amazing and makes it great for its price tag. Overall, I love the design of the bottle, the sensation of the lubricant is incredible and we have had a lot of fun with it! I highly recommend this lubricant to anybody who is after a night in with a ‘naughty cocktail twist!’

Superb lube but the vanilla is not for me

Okay, I've got to be honest in the opening to this, I did not fully take account of the fact of what mocktail flavour I was getting. I just read mocktail and thought, "Ooh, it'll taste like a fruity cocktail it will definitely be for me!" A Pornstar martini, so Google tells me, is a passion fruit flavoured cocktail with vanilla flavoured vodka. I love passion fruit, I would not personally mix it with vanilla. An initial taste test of this lube matches the description, there is a clear passion fruit flavour with a bit of citrus and very clear undertones of vanilla though maybe with a teeny, tiny bit of something lubiness thrown in. It is a nice sparkly cocktail inspired bottle with a very good pump action so easy to apply appropriate quantities in the heat of the moment and it works extremely well with no mess. Water-based, so obviously safe to use with all toys. In use, on first application it is extremely slick, everything will slide wherever you want it very easily and a little goes a very long way. Not huge longevity but this is hardly surprising for a water-based lube, what was a pleasant surprise however is that as this dried out a bit it didn't seem to go sticky as most flavoured lubes will but just dried and reactivated easily with a little wetness - water, saliver, personal juices, whatever. Also, somewhat surprisingly as I really hadn't much liked the flavour initially, in use it was much less objectionable, (maybe not so intense as straight from the bottle?) and I found myself becoming a fan. You want to lick up every bit of sweetness and suddenly it's a huge turn on. Unfortunately however, the vanilla does linger after the event. If only I liked vanilla in my fruity cocktails this would be superb but for me personally the taste overall doesn't do it. In the heat of the moment somehow it's absolutely great but the aftertaste doesn't do it for me. This is a very effective, high performing, slick lube. If Lovehoney come out with a Cosmopolitan mocktail lube or, better still, a Mojito mocktail lube I will be first in line to buy them but I probably won't get this one again. My mistake, not the products. If you like a Pornstar Martini don't hesitate.

Revelation for me

We are like everyone a regular users of lube - and usually just go for the non-flavoured lube. This is mostly because my OH isn’t a fan of performing oral on me (I love doing it to her, but aren’t hugely worried about flavour in lines). However, when this popped up I was excited. We have a constant supply of passion fruit purée in our fridge as my lovely OH is a huge fan or porn star martinis, or a simple prosecco with a dash of passion! So it was a no-brainier for me to get this and give it a go. Firstly, as a lube it performs well. The bottle is attractive and easy to use. And secondly, the flavour is very very close to a real porn star martini! It’s got the hints of passion fruit and vanilla you’d expect, and I actually did think it enhanced the experience while I enjoyed performing on my OH. However, an unexpected bonus was that my OH also wanted to try it. I offered some up on my fingers, but she instead offered to perform oral on me. For me this isn’t a common occurrence - so thank you LH! I’m going to order a few more bottles just in case! But if you like passion fruit and vanilla (and don’t want the mess of using the real thing), this is well worth it!

Lovehoney really do know how to make a delicious blend of beautiful touch-and-taste lubes that give you the feel of a sexy night out at a cocktail bar with a happy ending. Once again, this has the far more subtle deeper hints of warm vanilla that you would get in the cocktail drink itself, without it being synthetic or overpowering. The citrus and passion fruit tones then creeping in behind it as a secondary wave of delicious flavour as you enjoy it on your partner, friend, toy, whatever is divine. ;) As with my previous review - the consistency holds really well during play and is also water-based. The packaging is slick and pretty, with that ever appreciated solid click-shut lid - so no spillages if you're carrying it around in your handbag or luggage. We enjoyed this flavoured lube, a lot.

I'm a big fan of the Pornstar Martini cocktail and having tried other Lovehoney flavoured lubes, I couldn't resist this one.
