Gabriella Anika Plus Size Diamond Patterned Top Stockings

Value for money

I found these stockings to be comfortable and sturdy whilst still being sexy. They're not whisper thin and won't run or split. They attach well with a suspender belt and didn't cut into my thighs - always a plus for plus size lingerie! I have been able to wash and wear and they're still nice, so really great value for money.

Very fragile

I bought these stockings on a whim just to round up an order. As a larger lady and stocking enthusiast I'm always on the lookout for a plus size stocking that is durable, long enough and wide enough to comfortably accommodate my thighs. These looked promising. The packaging is nice - a simple cardboard sleeve with a photo of a model in lingerie wearing the stockings. Quite classy and not cringey. On first inspection, the stockings are very soft with quite a bit of stretch to them. I tried one on, didn't catch it on my nails and unfortunately there were several little snags ready to develop into holes, as if the stocking had already been worn a few times. I was very disappointed and emailed LH to get a refund as there was no way I could wear these stockings out. Apart from being ridiculously fragile and clearly not amazing quality, the fit was alright. I am 6' and a size 16-18 with long legs to match. The stocking came up to about the right height to wear with a suspender belt (I'd personally have preferred it a bit longer). The welt is thicker material and not as stretchy as the rest of the stocking which caused it to did and and produce a bit of a 'muffin top' at the top of my leg. I'd say these would fit someone around 5'10" and a size 14-16 nicely but not anyone much bigger than that. The diamond pattern at the top was quite a nice unusual touch. If these had fitted better I would probably have asked for a replacement pair to give them a second chance but as they were too small for me really, they're in the bin. I have paid more for worse in the past.

Those stockings are great, but I'm a US size 14, sometimes 16 and yet, I think they are too big for me. Not because they don't stay up, of course as they don't have silicone strips, but simply because I could stretch them a lot more, and I should if I want to end up with non-opaque stockings. On the other side, the material is amazing! It doesn't feel like it could be ripped by a micro millimetre of a chipped nail. Seems and feels very strong, and very "satiny".
